When did you first become a musician?
I started playing percussion in the band in 4th grade; however, I started playing horn in 9th grade.
How did you get involved with the Hampton Roads Philharmonic?
I moved to the area to teach at Christopher Newport University and found the HRP on Google!
What do you like most about performing?
I love engaging with the community! My favorite concert is the Young Artist’s competition, which features wonderfully talented adolescents from the Hampton Roads area.
What do you do outside of the HRP?
I am the Director of Music Theory and an Assistant Professor at Christopher Newport University. My hobbies include board games, trivia, yoga, podcasting (threetobeamup.com), DND, and hanging out with my five-pound chihuahua, Chewy!
